Job Description:
The Business
Nigel Wright is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing business in South Manchester to recruit a talented Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to take ownership of credit control activities across multiple business units.
The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening the company’s financial processes by managing cash collections, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and supporting continuous improvements within the finance team.
Duties include:*Monitor and manage outstanding debts across several service areas.
*Raise and import sales invoices as required for designated entities.
*Maintain finance inboxes and accurately file remittances.
*Allocate bank receipts to outstanding invoices and report unallocated cash, including plans for resolution.
*Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all customer communication regarding payments.
*Prepare and distribute weekly aged debt reports to internal stakeholders.
*Resolve customer queries related to billing discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient resolution.
*Assist in updating and improving internal process documentation.
Person
*Experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
*Background in a regulated or service-based industry is advantageous but not essential.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
*Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with confidence prioritising workloads.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
