A growing Commercial Electrical business is seeking a CAD Technician to support its technical delivery team. This role involves producing and maintaining accurate engineering drawings and documentation for infrastructure and treatment-based projects.
Working closely with engineers, Clients and project leads, you will convert technical concepts into clear, compliant drawings that support successful project execution from design through to completion.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your work will centre around the preparation, coordination and revision of technical drawings within live infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include:
*Producing 2D drawings from engineering specifications and design mark-ups

*Updating and managing drawing revisions in line with project development

*Maintaining structured drawing registers and document control systems

*Ensuring drawings align with relevant UK regulatory and industry frameworks

*Supporting design reviews and incorporating technical feedback

*Assisting project teams with drawing modifications as scopes evolve

*Using industry-standard CAD software to deliver clear, accurate outputs

Ther will also be the need to assist with other areas of the business at times.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll demonstrate strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the willingness to "muck in" and help the company to continue to grow.
Essential / Preferred Experience
*Minimum 6 Months years’ experience in a drafting or CAD-based position, Ideal for someone just starting out,

*Experience within utilities, infrastructure, electrical design,relevant qualification or certification in CAD, engineering design or a related discipline

*Driving License and Vehicle
