Little Elms Day care Nursery is a family-run group of nurseries dedicated to providing exceptional childcare and early years education across 7 locations. With a focus on quality, safety, and nurturing environments, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding care that supports children’s growth and development.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Field Support Staff member to join our team. This key role will provide on-the-ground support across our 7 sites, ensuring quality standards are maintained and operational challenges, such as staff-to-child ratios, are effectively managed. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about childcare and early education who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
Key Responsibilities

*Quality Assurance:*Support nursery managers and teams to uphold the highest quality standards in care and education.
*Provide feedback and guidance to staff to enhance learning environments and daily practices.
*Ratio Support:*Assist with staff coverage to ensure compliance with staff-to-child ratios at all sites.
*Step into rooms to support teams during peak times, absences, or emergencies.
*Operational Support:*Work closely with managers to address immediate operational needs.
*Act as a liaison between nurseries and the central team, communicating challenges and solutions effectively.
*Training and Development:*Mentor staff to improve practices and maintain consistency across all sites.
*Assist with the onboarding of new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into their roles.
*Health and Safety Compliance:*Monitor and uphold all health and safety policies and procedures.
*Address any compliance issues proactively to maintain a safe and secure environment.
What We’re Looking For:
What We’re Looking For:
*A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
*Experience in a senior childcare role, such as Deputy Manager, Manager, or Area Support.
*Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
*A proactive problem-solver who can adapt to different settings and challenges.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
*Flexibility to travel between sites and work across different locations as needed.
