About The Roles
As a Forward Planner, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly activity plans, ensuring they align with resource availability and operational priorities. You will coordinate key dependencies such as material orders, plant and tool availability, contractor arrangements, permits, and training schedules. The role involves integrating reactive work forecasts into plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. You will also monitor and adjust plans as needed to accommodate resource changes or unexpected work, ensuring smooth delivery of planned activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Develop and review monthly activity plans, ensuring alignment with resource availability and operational priorities.
*Integrate reactive work forecasts into plans and adjust schedules as needed.
*Coordinate dependencies such as material orders, plant and tool availability, contractor arrangements, permits, and training schedules.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Scheduling, Learning & Development, and field teams, to keep plans accurate and up to date.
*Communicate clear updates to stakeholders and maintain documentation for planned activities and dependencies.
*Monitor and adapt plans in response to resource changes or unexpected reactive work to avoid delays.
*Occasional travel to other United Utilities sites, Full UK Driving License is required.
What We’re Looking For
*Planning & Scheduling Expertise – Ability to create and review monthly plans aligned with resources and priorities.
*Strong Coordination Skills – Managing materials, tools, contractors, permits, and training schedules effectively.
*Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability – Interpreting forecasts, adjusting plans, and resolving issues quickly.
*Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Providing clear updates and working closely with cross-functional teams.
*IT & Systems Proficiency – Skilled in planning software, ERP systems, and spreadsheet tools.
What You Need to Know
*Hourly Rate- £ 19.00, PAYE, paid weekly one week in arrears
*Location: Lingley Mere Business Park, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5 3LP- change as needed (on site full-time)
*Start date: ASAP
*Assignment type: 6 months Temporary Contract through Reed Talent Solutions, as United Utilities trusted recruitment partner.
*08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday
