We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor for a leading provider of heavy construction and mining equipment, based at their Burton on Trent depot. The company is renowned for delivering high-quality machinery and exceptional service across the UK. This role offers the chance to lead a small team in a fast-paced, hands-on workshop environment.
Role Overview:
*Supervise and coordinate day-to-day workshop operations.
*Oversee a small team of workshop staff, ensuring productivity and safety.
*Conduct PDI (pre-delivery inspections) and major repairs on equipment.
*Manage and maintain used/rental stock in the workshop.
*Ensure health & safety compliance across all workshop activities.
*Maintain accurate records and reporting for workshop operations.
*Support workshop planning and scheduling to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
*NVQ Level 2 or 3 in relevant engineering discipline.
*Experience managing or supervising a workshop team.
*Strong organizational and planning skills.
*Solid health & safety knowledge and compliance experience.
*Hands-on experience with heavy machinery repairs and maintenance.
*Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
*Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
Salary & Benefits:
*£45,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience).
*Working hours: 8:00 - 17:00 Mon-Thu, 8:00 - 14:30 Fri; overtime as required including Saturdays.
*25 days annual leave plus bank/public holidays.
