Credit Controller
Northamptonshire
Part Time: 30–35 hours per week
£19,800–£26,400 pro-rata (£12.71–£14.50 per hour) depending on experience
Rise10 Recruitment are supporting a leading electrical wholesaler in their search for a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Credit Controller. In this role, you will help manage and optimise the company’s cash flow by ensuring timely client payments, monitoring accounts receivable, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Raise invoices and subsequent statements to clients
• Monitor and manage outstanding invoices and follow up with customers regarding overdue payments
• Proactively contact clients via phone, email, and written communication
• Allocate incoming payments to appropriate accounts and reconcile discrepancies
• Work with internal teams to resolve customer queries and disputes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of debtor accounts
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on aged debt and cash collection performance
• Proactively build and strengthen customer relationships through regular phone and email communication, complemented by in-person visits and participation in social events
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as needed
Requirements:
• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to quickly adapt to new ERP systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• A positive, customer-focused attitude
