Job Description:
Interim Financial Accountant
Location: London (4 days at home, 1 day in the office)
Contract: 3 months initially (high likelihood of extension or potential permanent opportunity)
Halliday Marx are partnering with a growing Tech firm business who are looking to appoint an Interim Financial Accountant. This role is very likely to extend or go permanent.
Responsibilities
*Supporting the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journals and reconciliations
*Identifying opportunities to improve systems, automate processes and streamline finance workflows
*Taking ownership of key financial processes and helping the team operate more efficiently
*Acting as a point of contact for technical accounting queries where required
*Supporting year-end audit preparation and queries
*Working with the wider business to improve reporting and financial visibility
*Assisting with analysis and reporting to support business decision making
Requirements
*Proactive and good at giving solutions
*Confident and outstanding communication skills
*Qualified in either the ACA/ACCA/CA
*Experience with revenue recognition
*Exposure to BI reporting tools
*Advanced Excel skills such as Power Query, VBA or Macros
