An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Temporary Finance Assistant to join a thriving construction business in Poole, Dorset. What will the Finance Assistant role involve?
· Supporting the finance team with sales ledger and purchase ledger processing, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
· Managing invoice processing and liaising with suppliers via phone and email to resolve queries promptly.
· Assisting with reconciliation activities in preparation for month-end closing procedures.
· Contributing to routine reporting tasks to support financial analysis and decision-making.
· Collaborating with team members to maintain efficient financial operations and uphold high standards of accuracy.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:
· Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a keen interest in developing a career in finance.
· Demonstrates strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
· Approachable, proactive, and able to communicate effectively over phone and email with external contacts.
· Previous experience in a finance support role is desirable but not essential — a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key.
· Committed to delivering accurate work and working well in a team-oriented environment.
