Vehicle Technician Opportunity in South London

Our client, a reputable and family-run service centre in Forest Hill, South London, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs within a well-equipped workshop.

*Competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 according to experience
*Monday to Friday working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
*20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 22 days after five years’ service

Duties:
*Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle brands
*Conduct general diagnostics, including fault finding and system repairs
*Carry out repairs on clutches, timing belts, and chains as required
*Manage MOT testing according to DVSA standards (qualification preferred)
*Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
*Support workshop operations with ad hoc tasks to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
*Proficiency with diagnostics and vehicle electronics
*Ability to perform skilled inspections, repairs, and servicing
*MOT testing qualification is highly desirable but not essential
*Own tools and the ability to work independently in a busy workshop
*Positive attitude and proactive approach to work
*Good communication skills and team spirit
*Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within an independent garage or dealership is preferred
