Experienced Vehicle Technician Opportunity in Uckfield

Our client, a well-established independent garage in Uckfield, East Sussex, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their reputable team. *Work on a variety of makes and models, including diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
Duties:
*Conduct a full range of automotive repairs and servicing on all makes and models
*Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic testing, and repairs to high standards
*Carry out MOT testing where applicable and ensure compliance with legal requirements
*Use diagnostic tools to identify faults accurately and efficiently
*Complete Vehicle Health Checks and communicate findings effectively to the service department
*Ensure all work is completed professionally, safely, and within the designated timeframes
*Maintain high levels of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all tasks
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role
*NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in vehicle repair or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience
*Full UK driving licence is essential
*MOT testing licence is preferred but not essential
*Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems is advantageous, supported by relevant certifications such as Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Technician
*Additional certifications such as Master Technician, Technician, or Fast Fit Technician are desirable
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to colleagues and customers
*A proactive attitude, excellent work ethic, and the ability to work independently and within a team
