Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Estate Operative / Caretaker to join a residential development, responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair and presentation of the estate.
Key duties include:
*Internal and external building maintenance
*Repairs, installations and replacement of damaged systems
*Painting, decorating, lighting and window maintenance
*Fitting hard-wired smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
*Ongoing inspections of common areas and building systems
*Working closely with concierge, management and external contractors
*Ensuring health & safety and statutory compliance
*Supporting the overall upkeep and functionality of the development
Requirements:
*Minimum 5 years’ property maintenance experience
*Multi-trade skills including plumbing, painting, carpentry and basic gardening
*Organised and practical problem-solver
*Able to respond to emergency issues when needed
*Reliable, personable and proactive
*Able to work independently and within a team
*Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
