COMPANY ACCOUNTANT - DAVENTRY - PERM 35-37Kpa
My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join thier finance team. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring strong financial controls across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and wider business, providing financial insight while maintaining the integrity of financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and posting month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
* Producing timely and accurate month-end reporting, including analysing and interrogating stock movements.
* Preparing and distributing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Performing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of monthly and quarterly management packs.
* Assisting with statutory audits and acting as a key contact for external auditors.
* Ensuring accurate posting of transactions within the ERP system, maintaining up-to-date and accurate ledgers.
* Preparing VAT returns and other compliance reporting.
* Managing supplier payments and accounts payable processes.
* Overseeing credit control and debtor management.
* Providing financial support and insight to the General Manager and wider business teams.
* Supporting ad-hoc financial projects and business initiatives as required
