Salary: MS1 – MS3
Hours; 2 days per week

The Post.
*Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality music lessons across Nursery to Year 6.
*Develop and implement a progressive music curriculum that builds knowledge, skills and vocabulary.
*Teach a range of musical disciplines including singing, composition, performance and listening/appraising.
*Prepare pupils for performances, concerts and whole-school events.
*Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in music.
*Support staff in developing confidence in delivering music within their classrooms where appropriate.
*Lead or contribute to extracurricular music opportunities (e.g. choir, ensemble).
*Maintain and organise musical instruments and resources.
*Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
*Ensure safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed at all times.
*Lead singing assemblies and other whole school performances, Christmas shoes, carol concerts, spring shows

The Person:
We are looking for someone who is:
*Is experienced at leading whole-school music initiatives.
*Is experienced at preparing pupils for performances and events.
*Has the ability to play and accompany on piano or other instruments.
*Is experienced at working within a primary school setting.
*caring and patient, with a positive attitude
*is flexible, patient and is confident to use their initiative
*a well organised practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
*committed to team building and developing good relationships
*keen to learn and develop their practice.
