Job Description:
We are looking for hardworking, flexible and empathetic Support Workers to join our team, providing a person-centred service at our Extra Care Service at Heysham Gardens, Carlisle. The service is a purpose-built scheme which offers independent living opportunities for older people in a friendly, inclusive and safe environment.
For our Carlisle Extra Care service, we want our service users to lead active and positive lives. To achieve this, we need individuals to help us to deliver personalised extra care services. We need individuals who are passionate about providing dedicated care and support to older people. As a Support Worker you will engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships. Good communication skills are key to this role, as is the ability to provide respectful personal care to meet the service users’ needs.
We can offer flexible hours which include evening and weekend work. Creative Support’s Development Pathway offers a structured induction and values-led training to help staff grow from entry-level to leadership roles. It empowers career progression through tailored learning aligned with national strategies and the WE CARE framework. The service has great local transport links within Carlisle.
