Job Description:
A growing London city-based MGA is recruiting a Finance Operations Assistant to strengthen its finance department.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will be responsible for processing and reconciling day to day finance operations across treasury, accounts payable and credit control functions.
You will maintain the cashbooks for Insurer Trust accounts, reconcile, process and allocate daily Insurer Trust account transactions (premium receipts) to the cashbooks, the general ledger and policy admin system, process supplier invoices and employee expenses in the purchase ledger and enter onto the bank for payment, prepare, reconcile and issue broker statements and work with the Operations team with any broker queries, reconcile, post and match premium settlements to policy admin system and the general ledger, control premium debtor ledgers and chase overdue debt, prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations, and assist the Financial Controller and the Chief Financial Officer with other tasks as required.
Suitable applicants will be degree educated with at least 18 months proven experience of working within the finance function of an insurance business. Strong Excel skills are essential to manage large datasets. Full study support is available to anyone currently studying, or wanting to study, towards a professional qualification.
