Job Description:
Account Manager
Northampton
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (flexibility on hours is required)
£17.23 per hour
Temporary – Permanent after 12 successful weeks
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of services for key clients, ensuring operational efficiency and a high standard of customer experience. The role requires adaptability in working hours to support business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
*Serve as a primary contact for client queries, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining service standards
*Build and sustain effective working relationships with customers through regular communication
*Provide guidance and oversight to team members supporting client accounts to maintain consistent performance
*Track service metrics and analyse trends to identify areas for improvement
*Produce regular updates on account activity, highlighting performance outcomes and actions taken
*Identify opportunities to enhance existing services and contribute to account growth
*Support the introduction of new processes or solutions that align with customer requirements
*Contribute to ongoing improvements in operational workflows and service delivery
*Attend and support client meetings, adapting to scheduling needs where required
*Stay informed on relevant regulations, standards, and best practices within the sector
*Work closely with internal departments to ensure continuity of service
*Take responsibility for personal development and actively work towards agreed objectives
Skills and Experience
*Previous experience in a client-facing or service delivery role
*Ability to coordinate tasks and support team performance
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Practical approach to resolving issues and improving processes
*Comfortable making decisions in a dynamic environment
*Strong sense of accountability and follow-through
*Good attention to detail and organisational skills
*Competent in using IT systems
*Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset
