Chemical Engineer (Process Manufacturing)
£50,000-£60,000 + Bonus + 33 days Holidays + Training

Are you a Chemical Engineer with a background in process or continuous improvement, looking to move into a newly created position where you can take full ownership of process scale-up, optimisation, and engineering projects?

In this role, you will take ownership of process scale-up, optimisation, and continuous improvement projects. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll support production processes, troubleshoot equipment or process issues, design and optimise processes, and help implement new or modified equipment. You will also contribute to process safety activities, maintain process documentation, and support small capital projects making a real impact on site efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
This role would suit a Chemical Engineer with a background in process or continuous improvement, looking to take ownership of process scale-up, optimisation, and engineering projects. You’ll support production, troubleshoot issues, design and optimise processes, and help implement new equipment, making a real impact on efficiency and site performance.
The Role:
*Take ownership of process scale-up, optimisation, and engineering projects to improve production performance.
*Support day-to-day operations by troubleshooting equipment and process issues and implementing practical solutions.
*Design, optimise, and implement processes and equipment, including operator training and documentation updates.
*Contribute to process safety, continuous improvement initiatives, and small capital projects across the manufacturing site.
The Person:
*Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
*Understanding of chemical process systems such as reactors, mixing, filtration, and batch distillation.
*Knowledge of process safety techniques (HAZOP, FMEA, ATEX, DSEAR) and engineering documentation (P&IDs, drawings).
*Commutable to Caerphilly
