We are delighted to be working with a fantastic public sector organisation as they look to appoint a forward-thinking and engaging Organisational Development Specialist to join their OD team. This role would be ideal for someone passionate about driving culture, developing leadership capability, and supporting impactful organisational development initiatives across a complex organisation.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys designing and facilitating high-quality development programmes, partnering with senior stakeholders, and leading meaningful learning initiatives that contribute to a positive, healthy workplace culture.
The Role
As Organisational Development Specialist, you will:
*Design and deliver engaging development programmes that enhance leadership capability, personal growth, and career development.
*Facilitate workshops, team days, and large-group OD activities that support a collaborative, values-driven culture.
*Build trusted, influential relationships with leaders and managers to understand and support their development needs.
*Contribute to talent initiatives such as succession planning, early-career development and the design of career pathways.
*Lead and support wider OD projects, events, and organisational initiatives, including external stakeholder sessions.
*Produce clear reports on learning and development activities to support decision-making.
*Work proactively within the team, using data, insight, and OD best practice to shape meaningful organisational solutions.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring confidence, credibility, and a creative approach to organisational development. You will be:
*Qualified to at least Level 3 in L&D/OD/HR (or equivalent).
*A confident and engaging facilitator with experience delivering workshops to diverse groups at all levels.
*Skilled in designing and implementing development initiatives, using digital tools and systems to enhance OD activity.
*Able to plan, organise, and manage multiple pieces of work with autonomy.
*Experienced in supporting talent development, including career pathways and succession planning.
*An excellent communicator, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across an organisation.
*Proficient in MS365 with strong IT capability.
*Knowledgeable about OD principles, inclusion, wellbeing, and what makes a meaningful learning experience.
Desirable:
*Level 5 OD/HR/L&D qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
*Experience supporting apprenticeships, graduate programmes or early-career development.
*Experience conducting skills analysis and building capability plans.
