Employer Engagement & Learner Recruiter
Walsall (Office Based) | £45,000 – £50,000 basic + bonus up to £60,000
About the Company
Our client is an Ofsted Good rated digital training provider based in Walsall, delivering high-quality programmes across Software Development, Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, and Digital Marketing. Operating across both Adult Skills Fund and Apprenticeship frameworks, they work with individuals and employers across the Midlands and beyond to develop digital talent and drive real career outcomes.
They’re in a strong period of growth and are looking for a driven Employer Engagement & Learner Recruiter to help them scale their impact.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for building and developing new employer relationships while recruiting learners onto funded programmes. This is a business development-focused role — you’ll be out meeting clients, pitching provision, and converting interest into starts.
The client is looking for someone who is self-sufficient and proactive. If you’re used to being handed a warm pipeline, this probably isn’t the right fit. If you thrive on building from scratch and owning your own patch, read on.
Key Responsibilities
*Identify and engage new employers to sign up to apprenticeship and Adult Skills Fund programmes
*Recruit and onboard learners onto funded digital training courses
*Build and maintain a strong pipeline of employer and learner leads
*Represent the organisation at employer meetings, networking events, and community outreach activities
*Work towards starts and completions targets (which feed directly into your bonus)
What We’re Looking For
*Proven track record in employer engagement, learner recruitment, or business development within the skills/training sector
*Strong knowledge of Apprenticeship and/or Adult Skills Fund programmes
*Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and managing their own workload
*Confident communicator who enjoys face-to-face client meetings
*Results-driven with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets
Package
*£45,000 – £50,000 basic salary
*Bonus structure up to £60,000 (paid on apprentice starts and completions)
*Pay review after year 1 based on performance
*3 month probation period
*April 2026 start
