Description
*Process supplier invoices efficiently and accurately in the accounting system.
*Monitor and manage payment runs to ensure timely and correct payments to suppliers.
*Reconcile supplier statements to maintain accurate financial records.
*Handle queries from suppliers and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
*Assist with month-end processes, including ledger reviews and adjustments.
*Maintain organised records of all purchase ledger activities for auditing purposes.
*Support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
*Proven experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and query resolution.
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
*An understanding of the property industry would be advantageous but not essential.
