Production Support Engineer

Our client is a global multi-strategy investment firm known for its world-class technology organisation and high-performance trading environment. They are seeking a Production Support Engineer to join their core platform engineering and support team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Linux fundamentals, deep troubleshooting experience, and a passion for automation, reliability, and high-impact engineering work.
You will support and enhance a range of mission-critical trading, research, and compute platforms, working closely with infrastructure, networking, application, and development teams. The role blends operational support with engineering ownership - perfect for someone who thrives in complex technical environments and enjoys solving problems at scale.


Key Responsibilities

*Support and troubleshoot Linux-based trading and research platforms in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
*Build and improve automation, tooling, and operational workflows using Bash/Python.
*Own and resolve infrastructure issues across Linux, networking, and virtualised environments.
*Drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes for high-impact incidents.
*Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance monitoring, observability, and platform reliability.


Key Requirements

*Strong experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky).
*Hands-on exposure to Bash scripting, automation, and server provisioning.
*Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
*Comfort troubleshooting production environments and handling escalations.
*Proactive, curious, and excited by solving infrastructure problems at scale.
