EYFS Teaching Assistant – NG2 Area (Nottingham)
Location: NG2, Nottingham
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: April
About the Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the NG2 area. This role involves working closely with children in Nursery or Reception, supporting their early development through play-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
*Work with small groups and individual pupils to develop early skills
*Assist with phonics, early maths, and communication development
*Encourage learning through play, exploration, and creativity
*Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
*Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*Experience working with young children (EYFS or nursery setting preferred)
*A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
*Good understanding of early childhood development
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare) – desirable
