SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) – Arnold Area
Location: Arnold, Nottinghamshire
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: April
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Arnold area. This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Support children with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language)
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*Experience working with children in a primary or SEN setting
*A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) – desirable but not essential
