Our Client


Our client is a well-established, family-run development and manufacturing company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of electronic power systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and support their CNC manufacturing team.


The Role
This is a practical, shop-floor-based leadership position. You will oversee CNC programming, setting and machining operations while ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved.


Key Responsibilities


*Lead, organise and motivate a team of machine shop operatives
*



*Oversee CNC programming of machines in line with engineering drawings (SolidCAM experience advantageous)
*



*Supervise machine setting and operation in accordance with company procedures
*



*Expedite production to ensure parts are manufactured on time and to specification
*



*Manage raw material stock in line with production requirements
*



*Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues
*



*Perform basic machine maintenance and support continuous improvement
*



*Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment using 5S+1 principles
*



*Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards
*





Experience & Skills


*Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory responsibility
*



*Strong CNC machining background
*



*Solid understanding of programming principles; SolidCAM experience desirable (training available)
*



*Proven ability to optimise machine utilisation, reduce costs and improve quality
*



*Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
*



*Confident communicator at all levels, internally and externally
*



*Full driving licence and own transport
*

Hours


*Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm
*



*Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm
