Contract: Permanent / Full-Time
About the RoleHere at Gleeson we are delighted to partner with our valued client, a growing and forward thinking organisation, in their search for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
Key Responsibilities:*Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
*Support month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
*Produce regular financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
*Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
*Maintain accurate financial records and support audit processes
*Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function
*Provide ad-hoc financial support as required
Skills & Requirements:*Actively studying AAT or looking to start ACCAACCA/CIMACIMA
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
*Good understanding of accounting principles
*Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial systems
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities
*Experience within a similar management accounts support role
*Exposure to budgeting/forecasting processes
