Location: St Helens (Office-based)
Salary: £26,325 – £26,812 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for a Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clerk to join a well-established and friendly accounts team based in St Helens.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a stable and supportive business, where many team members have been with the company for over 10 years. The role offers a good balance of finance administration and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone with some previous experience looking to grow further.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
*Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email
*Posting payments and assisting with bank reconciliations
*Raising invoices and credit notes
*Supporting with rebate checks and account queries
*Building and maintaining good relationships with customers
*Working closely with the wider accounts team
About You
*Some previous experience in credit control, sales ledger, or accounts administration
*Confident communicating with customers (email and phone)
*Good attention to detail and organisation skills
*Able to manage your workload and work as part of a team
*Comfortable using finance systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, Excel or similar)
