Overview
An exciting opportunity with our client for a hands-on Head of Data & Analytics to lead reporting and business intelligence across a group of manufacturing businesses.
This role combines strategic leadership with technical delivery, driving a modern data capability while developing high-quality reporting and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Define and deliver the BI & reporting strategy across the organisation
*Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualisations
*Work with SQL and raw datasets to build scalable data models
*Establish data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting standards
*Develop and optimise data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting performance
*Provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and performance
*Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility
*Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership
Essential Skills & Experience
*Expert-level Power BI (dashboard design, visualisation)
*Advanced SQL (query writing, optimisation)
*Strong data modelling and analytical dataset design
*Experience working with large, complex datasets
*Background in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments
*Proven ability to work both strategically and hands-on
*Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable
*Experience with ERP systems and data integration
*Knowledge of ETL and data warehousing
*Advanced DAX
*Exposure to Azure (Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Lakes)
*Experience with Python or Microsoft BI stack tools
*Track record of improving dashboard performance and data quality
