Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised Bookkeeper to support financial operations across a portfolio of businesses. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and ensuring timely reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day financial processes.
Duties
*Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
*Record day-to-day transactions including invoices, payments, and receipts
*Reconcile bank accounts and control accounts regularly
*Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
*Prepare and review VAT returns
*Assist with payroll processing where required
*Produce regular financial reports and summaries
*Support month-end and year-end processes
*Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
Qualifications
*Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
*Strong understanding of accounting principles
*Experience working with multiple sets of accounts (preferred)
*Proficiency in software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Ability to manage workload across multiple priorities
Desirable
*AAT qualified or part-qualified
*Experience in a fast-paced or multi-client environment
*Exposure to VAT and payroll processes
