Behaviour Support Assistant / 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: June 2025 (Continuing into the new academic year)
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 pupil.
This role will begin in June 2025 and continue into the following academic year, offering consistency and the opportunity to build a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil.
The successful candidate will be working closely with a male student who requires additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
The Role:
*Providing 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil

*Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation

*Implementing tailored strategies to support learning and engagement

*Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil

*Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

*Using de-escalation techniques where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children with behavioural needs (school-based or similar)

*A calm, patient, and resilient approach

*Strong communication and relationship-building skills

*The ability to remain consistent and reliable in their support

*A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
