Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Minute Taker / Administrative Support Officer to join Wrexham Council’s Education Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to support the smooth day-to-day running of the department while providing high-quality administrative support.
You will play a key role in ensuring effective communication, accurate record keeping, and efficient coordination across the team.
Job Title: Minute Taker / Administrative Support Officer
Location: Lambpit Street, Wrexham, Wrexham Principal Area, LL11 1AR
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:*Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries (telephone, email, and in person)
*Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including messages and correspondence
*Collate, input, and maintain accurate data across departmental systems
*Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and produce routine reports
*Provide reception cover and deliver excellent customer service
*Support document management including filing, archiving, and retrieval
*Provide administrative support including word processing, Excel tasks, and presentations
*Arrange meetings, book venues and travel, prepare documentation
*Take accurate minutes of meetings and distribute them in a timely manner
About You:*Previous experience in an administrative or minute-taking role
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
