New Vacancy – Airfreight Import Clerk
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Airfreight Import Clerk to join our clients growing team based in Egham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong import knowledge to take full ownership of shipments from start to finish within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)


Key Responsibilities:
*Manage airfreight import shipments from arrival through to final delivery
*Complete and submit customs entries in line with HMRC regulations
*Ensure all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely manner
*Arrange collections and deliveries, ensuring deadlines and service levels are met
*Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issues
*Calculate and manage costing, invoicing, and chargeable services
*Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and high levels of customer service
*Ensure compliance with all customs procedures and company policies
*Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow


Requirements:
*Minimum of 1–2 years + experience in airfreight imports (end-to-end)
*Strong working knowledge of UK customs import procedures and regulations
*Experience handling customs entries from start to finish
*Familiarity with Cargowise and Sequoia systems is highly desirable
*Understanding of multi-modal transport (air, road, and sea) is advantageous
*Full UK driving licence due to location
*Stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Able to manage multiple shipments and prioritise workload effectively
