Alderbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose built care home located in Leeds. The home will provide specialist Complex Care for up to 140 residents, supporting individuals with complex physical and mental health needs in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.
Senior Care Assistant
*£13.50 per hour
*Full time and Part time contracts available
*Day shifts and Night shifts available
*Alternate weekends required
*Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
*5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important leadership role within the home, supporting the care team while ensuring residents receive high quality, person centred care. You will coordinate shifts, guide colleagues and lead by example to maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment.
You will support residents with complex needs including physical health conditions, mental health needs and high dependency care. This includes assisting with personal care, mobility and one to one support while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
Working closely with the wider care team, you will ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed, documentation is completed accurately and residents’ needs are consistently met. You will also support colleagues during challenging situations and help maintain a positive and professional team environment.
What We Are Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential or working towards
* Medication administration training with competency
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and guide staff on shift
* Experience supporting individuals with complex physical or mental health needs
* Reliable, compassionate and committed to high standards of care
