Job Description:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Craftspersons on days to join our Engineering Department at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary.
Holmen Board and Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.

About the Electrical/Instrumentation Craftspersons role:
We are seeking applications from experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Craftsperson’s to join our skilled team. The successful applicants will be part of a daywork rota system (Monday to Friday) whereby a generous holiday allowance of ten days leave every 7.5 weeks is built into the rota.
The function of the engineering department is to provide engineering resources to carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance for all areas of the site, and also to provide expertise in most engineering disciplines to carry out plant modifications.
Our Electrical/Instrumentation Craftspersons will be responsible for:
*Adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures and engineering standards;
*Maintaining the mill in an optimum and safe condition;
*Using the engineering management system to source parts/information and select and report history in work orders;
*Diagnosing faults and take action to rectify them;
*Adhereing to the permit to work/isolation system;
*Working safely within safety and skill remit.
What we’re looking for in our Electrical/Instrumentation Craftspersons:
*A recognised Engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 Minimum);
*A minimum of one-year’s practical experience in a process industry;
*Be computer literate with knowledge of ’Windows Office’ suite;
*Working knowledge of Plant Management databases;
*Appropriate Health and Safety training – preferred IOSH Working Safety (minimum).
