Job Description:
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic position across transactional finance, accounting and data analytics, presenting a truly unique role for junior accountants looking to move into a more commercial, strategic position. You’ll develop excellent senior stakeholder engagement, reporting directly into the CFO by delivering accurate reporting and insight on data models.

Description
Data Analytics
*Leverage AI and large-language-model tools to accelerate data analysis, automate routine reporting, draft internal communications, and support research across finance and operations.
*Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and data models built on data sourced from the company’s data lake.
*Develop new reports and visualisations to monitor operational KPIs, including revenue per charger, utilisation trends, and overall site performance.
*Utilise the Microsoft Fabric stack to transform raw datasets into actionable insights for finance, commercial, and operational stakeholders.
*Partner with the outsourced data engineering team to uphold data quality standards and ensure robust, reliable data pipelines.
*Respond to ad-hoc data and insight requests from the CFO and wider leadership team.
Accounting
*Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero for multiple group entities, covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.
*Support the month-end close process, including posting journals, managing accruals and prepayments, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
*Process invoices and ensure accurate classification within the chart of accounts.
*Manage financial workflows and operational data, acting as the organisation’s ERP system.
*Monitor construction work-in-progress (WIP) and maintain up-to-date warehouse inventory balances.
*Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reporting packs, and variance analysis for the CFO, along with concise board-ready commentary covering portfolio sales, utilisation KPIs, fault metrics, and uptime performance.
*Produce operational performance reports that integrate financial and non-financial datasets.
*Oversee end-to-end vendor and supplier management, including resolving invoice discrepancies, reconciling credit notes, and executing payment runs across multiple banking platforms.
Profile
A successful FP&A Analyst should have:
*Relevant degree, 2-4 years of experience within a similar role.
*Previous experience within the infrastructure space is desirable.
*Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent.
*Hands on experience using Power BI.
*Strong Excel skills for forecasting/budgeting and analysis.
*Strong communicator with ability to provide commercial insights and strategic guidance.
