Designer & Project Coordinator
Location: Retford
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Opportunity
A well-established and growing organisation within the construction and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Designer & Project Coordinator to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing projects from initial design through to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of customer service throughout.
The Role
This is a predominantly office-based position, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver technically accurate designs and well-coordinated projects. You will take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within specification, and to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate technical drawings based on architectural and structural information
* Manage the full design approval process, including revisions and client sign-off
* Coordinate projects from design through to delivery
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional communication
* Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
* Proactively resolve issues relating to design, delivery, or site requirements
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
Requirements
* Previous experience within construction, structural, or manufacturing environments
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
* High attention to detail and technical accuracy
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Desirable
* Experience with precast concrete or flooring systems
* Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g. FloorCAD or similar)
* Understanding of construction design approval processes
