Management Accountant
Location: Leeds - Hybrid working
Salary: Up to £50,000
Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Working Pattern: Flexitime available
Start Date: ImmediateElevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established organisation in Leeds to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to support key financial processes within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
*Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
*Processing and oversight of payroll, liaising with internal teams and external providers where required
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
*Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of supporting schedules
*Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
*Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
*Providing financial insight and analysis to support business decision-making
*Continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
Key Requirements*Part-qualified, qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience
*Proven experience in a management accounting role
*Strong understanding of month-end processes, payroll, and VAT
*Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems
*Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
*Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
*Strong communication skills and ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
