Senior Underwriter - Binding Authorities | London
I’m working with a leading global insurer seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their team, focusing on the North America Binding Authorities portfolio.
This is a high-impact role centred on underwriting delegated authority business, managing portfolio performance, and overseeing coverholder relationships. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive underwriting strategy, manage CAT exposure, and ensure strong portfolio profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite and manage delegated authority business
Monitor portfolio performance using MI, KPIs, and pricing metrics
Manage CAT budget allocation and aggregate exposure
Oversee coverholders, including audits and due diligence
Conduct underwriting file reviews and ensure compliance
Build and develop broker and client relationships
Collaborate with internal teams across underwriting, claims, and operations
Looking for:
Strong delegated authority / binding authorities experience
Proven portfolio management and underwriting expertise
Experience managing broker and coverholder relationships
Strong analytical and communication skills
