Role Overview
The Approved Electrician will install, test, and maintain electrical systems to industry standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work across all projects. The role also involves fault-finding, completing documentation, and supporting colleagues on site.
Key Responsibilities:
*Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems to BS 7671 standards.
*Carry out inspection, testing, and certification (EIC/EICR/MEIWC).
*Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations.
*Supervise and support Electricians and Apprentices when required.
*Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
Required qualifications / Expectations / Experience:
*Level 3 technical qualifications documentary evidence of vocational training (i.e. Apprenticeship or NVQ 3).
*18th edition
*Testing and inspection (2391)
*ECS Gold Card
*Proven site experience
*Full clean manual UK driving license
*Ability to compete company Risk Assessments
*Proven experience as an Approved or Qualified Electrician in commercial and/or industrial environments
*Strong background in electrical installation, testing, and fault-finding
*Competence in completing EIC/EICR/MEIWC documentation
*Experience working to BS 7671 and established health & safety practices.
*Ability to work independently and support junior team members
