The Role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Managing Director to lead a dynamic organisation with an ambitious growth strategy. You will be responsible for shaping the company’s strategic direction, strengthening operational capability, and driving performance across all business functions. Operating within a regulated manufacturing setting, you will ensure robust compliance, efficient production, and a culture of continuous improvement while expanding the business’ overseas manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide strategic leadership and set a clear vision that drives sustainable commercial growth.
*Oversee all operational, financial, and regulatory aspects of the business, ensuring excellence across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer delivery.
*Lead the expansion and optimisation of overseas manufacturing partnerships and facilities.
*Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards, and global manufacturing requirements.
*Strengthen operational efficiency through process improvement, performance monitoring and investment in capability.
*Build and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering accountability, engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
*Drive business development, commercial negotiation, and strategic customer relationships in global FMCG markets.
*Manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term planning to support future growth and investment decisions.
*Champion innovation in product development, production methods, and market diversification.
Desirable Skills & Experience
*Proven track record in a senior leadership role within FMCG, food production, pharmaceutical or similar regulated manufacturing.
*Experience overseeing international or outsourced manufacturing operations.
*Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, quality standards, and compliance within food or consumer goods production.
*Commercially astute with a history of delivering growth, profitability, and strategic transformation.
*Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, challenge and develop teams.
*Operationally hands-on with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
*Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, both internally and internationally.
