Underwriter - Offshore & Renewables | London
I’m working with a leading marine insurer seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their Offshore & Renewables team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a growing, future-focused sector, supporting members while helping shape innovative insurance solutions.
The role sits at the heart of the Offshore & Renewables division, focusing on managing and developing a portfolio, building strong relationships, and working closely with claims and loss prevention teams to identify emerging risks and enhance coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwriting and renewal of accounts within the Offshore & Renewables sector
Analysing underwriting, claims, and loss prevention trends
Identifying and developing new business opportunities
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with Members, Brokers, and industry contacts
Evaluating enquiries, producing quotations, and aligning decisions with risk appetite
Supporting contract reviews to ensure clarity of coverage and appropriate reinsurance
Collaborating with internal teams to address loss prevention concerns
Supporting team workflow and ensuring accurate processing of documentation
Looking for:
Strong experience in P&I underwriting or relevant marine insurance background
Solid technical underwriting expertise and risk assessment skills
Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships
Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
