Job Title: Smoke Alarm Technician (LD3 System)

Job Purpose:
To maintain and install Grade F smoke alarms (LD3 system) within the communal areas of street properties. This includes diagnosing and resolving minor faults in smoke alarm equipment, carrying out inspections, and ensuring the communal areas remain safe from fire hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
*Install and maintain Grade F smoke alarms (LD3 system) in communal areas as required.
*Diagnose minor faults with smoke alarm equipment (non-electrical).
*Perform regular checks and inspections of communal areas within street properties.
*Record findings from inspections and ensure appropriate action is taken where necessary.
*Remove any items that may pose an immediate fire risk in communal areas.
*Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed when working at height using stepladders.
*Maintain accurate records of work carried out and any issues encountered.
Skills and Qualifications:
*Experience working with smoke alarm systems, particularly Grade F LD3 systems, is desirable.
*Ability to diagnose and resolve minor faults in smoke alarm equipment.
*Knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices in communal areas.
*Comfortable working at height using stepladders.
*Full UK driving license is required to travel between properties.
