Morgan Hunt is recruiting for Premises Officer/Caretaker Vacancy to work with a FE College based in South East London on a temporary basis. The details of the job are below:
Premises Officer/Caretaker Vacancy
Hours: 30 hours - Mon & Fri - 12pm-5pm and Tues to Thurs 2pm to 7pm
Pay Rate: £18ph Ltd
Location: South East London
Duration: 3 months on going contract
Enhanced DBS Certificate required or would be prepared to undertake DBS
About the role:
*Assist in the general upkeep of college buildings and grounds
*Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
*Monitor and report any repairs or maintenance issues to the Facilities Team
*Inspect and maintain fixtures and fittings within common areas
*Ensure agreed room layout plans are always provided as requested
*Set up and dismantle furniture and equipment for college events, meetings, and activities
*Ensure that all areas of the college are secure and safe for students and staff
*Report any incidents or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
*Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities team
Skill & Experience:
*Experience of working within a busy and demanding environment
*Previous experience in a caretaker or Premises role
*Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation / regulations
*Working understanding of COSHH regulations / principles
*Physical capability to perform manual tasks and requirements of role
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
