Job Description:
Training Manager (GH-801)
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead the development and delivery of a national technical training centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established training function while shaping its future direction. You will be responsible for creating a high-quality, engaging learning environment that supports a wide range of technical professionals, from new entrants through to experienced installers and engineers. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, giving you the opportunity to influence how training is designed, delivered and continuously improved.
In this position, you will design and deliver a range of practical and classroom-based training programmes, ensuring content is clear, engaging and aligned with industry best practice. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the training facility, managing schedules, equipment and resources while maintaining high standards of health and safety. Alongside this, you will contribute to the development of digital learning content, including online modules, webinars and supporting materials, helping to modernise and expand the overall training offering.
You will also play an important leadership role, supporting and mentoring others involved in training delivery to ensure a consistent and high-quality learner experience. Working closely with both internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure the training centre remains relevant, accredited and aligned to evolving industry needs.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background within a technical, engineering or construction-related environment, combined with experience delivering or developing training programmes. You will be confident presenting to groups and able to translate complex technical information into clear, practical learning. A proactive and organised approach is essential, along with the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Experience managing a workshop, training facility or similar operational environment will be highly beneficial, particularly where health and safety is a key consideration. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for developing others are critical to success in this role. A relevant training or assessor qualification would be advantageous, alongside a full UK driving licence.
This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact by shaping how technical training is delivered and experienced. You will play a key role in raising standards, supporting the development of others and contributing to a function that is central to long-term success. It is an ideal position for someone looking to combine technical expertise with leadership, creativity and continuous improvement.
If you are looking for a role where you can take ownership, drive change and be part of a forward-thinking environment, we would be delighted to hear from you. Apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
