Salary: £26,514 - £46,307 per annum (including London Weighting & market supplement)
OverviewA FE College is seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing & Gas to deliver high-quality teaching to apprenticeship learners. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking college with a strong reputation for vocational excellence and industry-focused training.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching across Plumbing & Gas programmes
*Develop schemes of work tailored to learners with varying abilities
*Use effective assessment strategies to monitor and drive learner progress
*Provide constructive feedback to support learner development and independence
*Track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions
*Support learners with barriers to education in an inclusive environment
*Contribute to curriculum development aligned to industry needs
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuous professional development
Requirements*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
*Level 3 CAVA (Assessor qualification)
*Gas Safe Registration
*IQA Level 4 (desirable)
*3-5 years’ post-qualification industry experience
*Experience teaching in Further Education (ideally apprenticeships)
*Strong understanding of apprenticeship delivery and learner support
*Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
