Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a rapidly growing international business, part of a larger group within an interesting sector, to recruit a dynamic & hands-on Management Accountant for their offices in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will support the accounting function by producing high-quality financial information to enable operational decision-making. The role is varied, involving management accounting for multiple entities, through to forecasting and overhead processes, along with analysis and more. The position is best suited to a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier, candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. The role can offer future progression/development opportunities, along with a study package for financial qualifications.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve the preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple entities, supporting the cash flow forecasting, providing overhead and payroll information. Leading with month-end processing, and monthly reviews/reports, VAT processing, along with maintaining/reconciling the fixed asset register, accruals and prepayment. Providing support with annual budgeting, financial analysis, along with oversight of purchase invoicing, payments, multi-currency sales invoicing, and credit control. You will support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc duties, process improvement and projects as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this varied Management Accounting role, you will need experience in a similar position; part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience. Strong MS Excel skills, experienced in a range of financial systems, with high attention to detail. A strong communicator who can build both internal/external relationships at all levels, comfortable communicating effectively to both non-finance and financial management, along with being able to work within a small, flexible and dynamic accounting function, willing to learn and adapt to business needs. You will be used to managing workloads to meet deadlines, a key problem solver with a proactive working approach. Experience within an international business would be advantageous but not essential.
What you’ll get in return
This permanent Management Accountant role offers a salary between £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience, based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
