Role: Assistant Accountant
Location: Hertford (hybrid working)
Salary: Up to £35,000

I’m working with a high-growth business on an exciting scale-up journey, with ambitious plans to significantly increase revenue over the coming years.

With a strong focus on performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement, they’ve built a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are now looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Assistant Accountant.

The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting the day-to-day finance function, with a clear pathway into management accounting as the role develops.

Key Responsibilities:
*Ownership of credit control, including reconciliations and aged debt management
*Supporting month-end close with schedules and analysis
*Maintaining prepayments and fixed asset schedules
*Assisting with cashflow forecasting and reconciliations
*Preparing expense reporting and supporting operational insight
*Assisting with variance analysis and ad hoc reporting
About You:
*Experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Comfortable working with reconciliations and financial data
*Ambitious and keen to progress into management accounting
*Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
*Experience in a fast-paced or scaling environment is advantageous
