Salary: Up to £30,000
Location: Chelmsford (Hybrid Working)
12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm
Purchase Ledger Clerk | Advanced Excel | Hybrid
A growing finance team in Chelmsford is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a 12-month FTC. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with supplier accounts, reconciliations, and Excel reporting, while gaining exposure to month-end and audit processes.
The Role
*Processing supplier invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger
*Supplier statement reconciliations including foreign currency
*Managing invoice approvals and resolving queries
*Investigating discrepancies and chasing missing invoices
*Producing Excel reports using Pivot Tables and formulas
*Supporting month-end close and year-end audit preparation
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in Purchase Ledger
*Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
*Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, SUMIFS / IF formulas
*Experience using finance or ERP systems
*Good communication with suppliers and internal teams
