Data Privacy Manager
UK Based (Outside of London)
£ Competitive Day Rate (Umbrella)
12 Month Contract
Data and Analytics is an important enabler for the UK Business’ strategy and in achieving its’ outcomes. This role sits within the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function. The UK CDAO function is responsible for data risk and control management, delivering the data platform strategy, delivering data and analytics products and AI for the UK Business.
In this fantastic new role, you will be accountable for streamlining Data privacy operations, minimising work duplication across GBGFs, and expediting business-sponsored programmes, therefore relevant experience is essential. This role focuses on mitigating risks related to customer data breaches and other privacy concerns, ensuring compliance with Global Data Management Policies, ultimately enhancing customer trust and the value of data.
In this role, you will:
*Provide subject matter expertise on data privacy and protection laws to stakeholders, utilising the mandatory data controls and communicating data risk policies.
*Oversee DataVisa operations, helping to ensure user proficiency and accurate case input.
*Proactively identify data privacy risks, issues, and control gaps, agreeing on action plans for timely mitigation and escalating where appropriate.
*Support the development and implementation of data privacy controls ensuring compliance across global business requirements.
*Stay informed on legislative requirements, conduct gap analysis, and assist remedial work programmes.
*Enhance awareness of GDPR and other evolving Data Privacy regulations for UK Business
*Facilitate collaboration and communication to engage stakeholders.
*Foster an inclusive environment promoting growth and empowerment, embedding a ’speak up’ culture.
*Develop training and educational materials.
