Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join an established manufacturing operation in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a precision-driven environment, supporting quality and engineering teams to ensure components meet exacting standards.
You will play a key role in inspection, measurement, and reporting activities, contributing directly to product quality and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a newly created role to support an increased workload for the business for the long term.

37.5 hour week with flexibility on start/finish time.
Key Responsibilities*Set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in line with defined procedures and standards
*Conduct precise measurement of components against technical drawings and specifications
*Analyse measurement data to identify deviations and report findings accurately
*Maintain calibration records and carry out routine equipment checks
*Support investigations into quality issues and contribute to corrective actions
*Produce clear, detailed inspection reports for engineering and production teams
*Assist in improving measurement processes and inspection efficiency
Equipment & Systems*3D scanning using Creaform HandySCAN
*Reporting using Metrolog X4 software
*Operation of Stiefelmayer manual portal measuring machines
*Use of handheld inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
I’m keen to speak to CMM Inspectors with the following skillset: *Proven experience operating CMM equipment within a manufacturing or engineering environment
*CMM programming experience (desirable)
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex measurement data
*Good understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001
*Experience with metrology software and calibration processes
*High attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality
