QTS:Not required – experienced non-qualified teachers, instructors, and vocational specialists welcome

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Food Technology Teacher to deliver practical, engaging and accessible lessons to KS3–KS4 learners. You will have a key role in helping students gain essential life skills, build self-confidence, and develop an interest in cooking and healthy living.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about food education and supporting young people — especially those who benefit from structured, encouraging and flexible approaches to learning.
QTS is not essential. We welcome applications from:

Chefs or Catering Professionals with teaching experience
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver creative Food Technology lessons for small groups
*Foster a safe, structured and supportive kitchen/practical environment
*Promote food safety, healthy eating and independent living skills
*Differentiate lessons to meet a variety of SEMH and SEND needs
*Track and assess progress, offering meaningful feedback
*Work collaboratively with the SENCo, pastoral team and support staff
*Model emotional regulation, resilience and positive relationships
*Uphold the school’s therapeutic and student-centred ethos grounded in Choice Theory
About You
You will be a great fit if you:
Have experience teaching or delivering Food Technology
Bring creativity, patience and strong behaviour management
Are confident working with students with SEMH/SEND needs
Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Are organised, adaptable and proactive
Have strong safeguarding awareness
